Free agent Pat Burrell is
being courted by at least three teams, including
the Mariners, Angels and Giants, according to
several published reports on Wednesday.
Burrell, who was not offered arbitration by the
Phillies, is seeking a multi-year deal worth more than
the $14 million he was paid last season.
Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. has said
numerous times that he would like to see Burrell return
to the club next season, but not at anything above $14
million.
The Angels appear to be looking at Burrell as a
possible replacement for free agent first baseman Mark
Teixeira.
