MIAMI (AP) — Minnesota
Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie had another
court date in his assault case set for Nov. 18 at
a status hearing Wednesday.
McKinnie has pleaded not guilty to four charges
stemming from a street brawl outside a Miami nightclub
in February, including felony battery. McKinnie was not
present at the hearing Wednesday, where lawyers updated
the judge on the status of the case.
He is eligible to return from a four-game suspension
for violating the league's personal conduct policy
following Minnesota's game at Tennessee this weekend.
Coach Brad Childress says he is not ready to say
whether McKinnie will return to his starting position.
Artis Hicks has been playing in his place.
