Roscoe Parrish Has Rough Debut for Raiders

Roscoe ParrishDebuts don't come much worse than Roscoe Parrish's Thursday night. The Raiders' new punt returner fumbled two punts, turning one over and getting lucky when a Seahawk recovered the other one but was ruled to be just out of bounds.
"We have to learn how to protect the ball better," Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said. "If we continue to lose the turnover battle, we're going to struggle. ... He had two opportunities, and he turned the ball over one time, and the ball is on the ground the other time."
Parrish had some good numbers returning punts in Buffalo for seven years but was cut by San Diego on Monday and is definitely in hot water here as cuts are announced Friday at 6 p.m.
"I don't know that one night really defines who he is," Allen said. "But obviously he had a rough night."
