Gibson Park Named After Duane Starks

Duane StarksFrom left, Commissioner Willy Gort, Thelma Gibson, former NFL standout Duane Starks, Mayor Tomas Regalado, and Commissioner Michelle Spencer-Jones cut the ribbon for the opening of the new Theodore R. Gibson Park. The new park opened its doors with the unveiling of a mural and a ribbon-cutting ceremony by City of Miami officials on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in Miami.
Gibson Park named their newly renovated Football Field after Duane L. Starks (Field of Dreams).
