Yonder Alonso Could Be Called Up Soon
Jun/16/11 08:25 AM
The Cincinnati Reds have several potential big-league starters with Class AAA Louisville who are blocked by current starters. Most notably, left-handed-hitting Yonder Alonso, originally a first baseman, is spending most of his time in left field. He is batting .315, slugging .504 and making contact in 84% of his at-bats. Alonso is a natural replacement for Fred Lewis if the Reds opt to make a change.
